Sochaux defender Sebastien Corchia is attracting the attention of some of the biggest clubs on the continent. Talksport radio reports that Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus as well as French moneybags PSG have joined the race to sign the full back.
Tottenham boss Andre Villas Boas had earmarked Corchia as one of his summer signings but will now face a battle with Europe’s big guns to secure his player.
Villas Boas has surprised many with the way he has led Spurs up the table this season. The 2-1 victory over Arsenal on Sunday opened up a seven point gap between Spurs and their North London rivals.
The young boss clearly now expects his side to be playing Champions League football next year. No doubt he’s already told chairman, Daniel Levy which players he wants bringing to the club in the summer.
Levy is renowned for his astute dealings in the transfer market, normally waiting until the very last minute to complete a deal. However, it looks like he will have to move fast if Spurs are to beat their rivals to Corchia
