Arsenal and Tottenham are set to battle it out for the signature of highly rated French full back, Sebastian Corchia.
A report on Talksport says that the North London rivals are both looking for cover at right back and have both turned their attention to the 22-year-old.
Corchia has been at Sochaux for two seasons after joining from Ligue 2 side, Le Mans for an undisclosed fee. His side escaped the drop last season but are facing another relegation battle this season.
Injuries have prevented him from playing many games this season but he has shown enough quality to convince Arsene Wenger and Andre Villas Boas to seriously consider making a bid.
Arsenal and Tottenham need cover
Wenger is aware that he could lose Bacary Sagna at the end of the season as the player has openly expressed his frustration at seeing so many of his best teammates leave the club in recent years.
AVB is also looking to bring in a full back as competition to keep England youngster Kyle Walker on his toes.
Talksport reveal that Corchia has stated that he could leave Sochaux at the end of the season and would like to play for a big club in the Champions League.
It is likely that only one of the North London rivals will be able to offer Champions League football so that team would have a big advantage if it came to a two way race for the youngster’s signature.
Corchia focused on his club’s relegation battle
Corchia has said that he would like to join a big club but for now is desperate to help Sochaux avoid the drop. He told L’Equipe: “For now I am thinking about Sochaux and want to save the club from relegation.
“After that my dream is to go to a big club. We will wait and see what happens at the end of the season.”
