David Moyes continues to plan for Everton for next season strengthening the feeling that he will stay at the club.
Moyes has been at Goodison for over 11 years now and there have been rumours that he wants to leave to find a fresh challenge.
That may yet be the case but he is certainly planning long term for the club so as to leave them in a good condition for the next man in.
Sky Sports report that Moyes is interested in Lazio’s full back, Luis Pedro Cavanda.
The Angola-born Belgian has been one of the promising young players in Serie A this season and has attracted the attention of Arsenal in the past.
Natural replacement for Phil Neville
However it seems Everton are the frontrunners to sign the youngster although Stoke are also showing an interest.
Ulisse Savini, Cavanda’s agent spoke in the Italian papers saying: “We are looking into several offers but they have to meet the demands of Lazio. The most serious interest? That is Everton and Stoke City.”
Cavanda can play at either right back or left back and will be a natural replacement for utility man Phil Neville when he leaves Everton. He will provide cover and competition for Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman as the current first choice full backs.
