Chelsea have dominated the headlines again this morning with it looking increasingly likely that they well be very busy in the summer transfer window.
The Metro report that Brazilian striker Hulk has grown tired of life in Russia and is looking for a route out of Zenit St Petersburg.
This time last year, Hulk was playing for FC Porto and had become one of the most sought after strikers in the world. He could score and create goals. During his time in Portugal he scored 78 goals and was credited with 56 assists in 169 games for Porto.
Hulk won the Europa League with AVB
He won three league titles and helped to put Tottenham manager Andre Villas Boas on the map when he was part of Europa League winning team.
Rumours were rife that he would be heading for Stamford Bridge before he signed for Zenit for £40m. However, he has had a poor season in Russia, scoring just four goals in 14 games. He may be regretting his decision and has spoken of his admiration for English football.
Reunion with Falcao is a possibility
He Said:” My future? I love the Premier League. The Premier League is a great competition with great clubs. If I have time, I watch the matches on television.”
If Chelsea were to go back for the 26-year-old it is likely that Zenit would want to recoup the entire fee they paid a year ago, with probably a bit more on top.
If Hulk does join the Blues in the summer, he could enjoy a reunion with his former Europa League winning strike partner, Radamel Falcao, who the club are also interested in signing.
