Aguero tops Real Madrid wish list

Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero could be heading out of the Etihad Stadium and heading for the Bernabeu this summer.

The Daily Star report that the Argentine is the number one target on Real Madrid’s summer transfer wish list.

Aguero lives away from his son

Aguero and his wife, who is the daughter of his hero, Diego Maradona, have separated and she now lives in Madrid with their son. Aguero is finding life extremely difficult living so far away from him.

Real are planning for a possible future without Cristiano Ronaldo, and see Aguero as one of only a few players who could replace the Portuguese superstar. They will also launch a serious attempt to sign Tottenham’s Gareth Bale according to the Star.

Injury time title winner

Aguero joined City two summers ago from Atletico Madrid and was a revelation in his first season.

He scored arguably the most famous goal in the club’s history when his injury time winner against QPR snatched the Premier League title away from rivals Manchester United whose game had already finished.

It was the last of 30 goals in 48 games that Aguero scored in all competitions in a fabulous debut season. However he hasn’t hit those heights quite so consistently this season with 13 goals in 31 games so far.

That hasn’t put of Real Madrid who feel a move back to the city where he made his name could reignite the hit man’s most devastating form. The Star report that Real are willing to bid £45m for the player in the summer.

None of the title winning strike force left?

If Aguero was to leave it could mean that none of the four strikers that helped City win their first title for 44 years will be at the club next season.

Mario Balotelli has already left for Milan, Edin Dzeko is constantly being linked with a move back to the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund and Carlos Tevez could be heading home to Argentina with Boca Juniors.
