Shane Long stopped off during a night out in Dublin to do a bit of busking. The West Brom forward is used to hitting the back of the net but showed he can also hit the right notes in this rendition of Oasis classic Wonderwall.
Baggies keeper Boas Myhill provided the backing vocals but there was no doubt that Long was the star of the show.
Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez has accused England of being ‘too soft’ to win the World Cup. The comments have raised tensions ahead of this Friday’s international friendly between England and Chile. In retaliation on behalf of England, here are a selection of YouTube videos showing the little striker being knocked down by a strong gust of wind presumably.
NB – Yes there could be an alternate set of clips showing Ashley Young losing his battle with the breeze, but he is no longer part of the England set up so I therefore wash my hands of him.

The best goal of the international matches this weekend wasn’t scored by Rooney or Ronaldo or any other superstar, but by unknown youngster Liam Kelly. Playing for the Irish U19 side against Sweden, the Reading midfielder scored from the halfway line with a Beckham-esque strike.
Annoyingly for Kelly, the ball had just crossed the halfway line before he struck it, so he can’t claim to have scored from his own half, but it was still a hell of a goal.
